Same-Language-Subtitling Study Review

What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) has released a study review on Same-Language-Subtitling (SLS) describing the research as a “well-implemented randomized controlled trial.”  WWC found that students in the SLS intervention scored significantly higher than students not in the SLS intervention on reading comprehension achievement posttests.  SLS is a karaoke style intervention, including videos with audio and caption text that changes color with the audio.  Read More…
